I enjoyed reading this tale once the real adventure started. The slow start almost me give up. Wonder what my kids will say to that. I'm glad I kept reading. The story has three kids with interesting links to each other going on an adventure to save the world. There are violent parts that might not sit well with younger kids. Most of it threats, but there is an axe wielding ghost and roomful of people get gassed to knock them out.

The kids are great role models...they help each other as well as save the world. They do get back at a bully though. Not something to encourage but it was funny.

What to read to your class as they start back to school? This book is a winner. It will keep both girls and boys engaged and begging you to read one more chapter.
This book is REALLY long for my 4th grader, but a very interesting story and kept him engaged the whole time!
reading revolution
This was a fun read for my grandson this summer. He enjoyed it while at the lake with all the other things to do. I will say he is a good reader. I know, I buy the books.
I do not recall where I heard about this book. But it is very enjoyable, imaginative and totally original. it keeps your interest all the way through. It is unlike any middle-grade book I have ever read - but perhaps closest in a way to The Wizard of Oz. The relationship between the three main characters is great and well developed.
I bought this book for a friend's daughter. She loved the book!
I read this at the recommendation of my 12 year old daughter and really enjoyed it. We have a few inside jokes now about this wonderful book. The story grabs you and keeps you reading to the end. The characters are fun and the ideas are unique. Who wouldn't want furniture that will keep the dust bunnies clean from underneath them?....
